New exams go live on February 24, 2020

Achieving CCIE Data Center certification proves your skills with complex data center solutions. To earn CCIE Data Center certification, you pass two exams: a qualifying exam that covers core data center technologies, and a hands-on lab exam that covers data center networks through the entire network lifecycle, from designing and deploying to operating and optimizing.

The new CCIE Data Center certification program prepares you for today’s expert-level job roles in data center technologies. CCIE Data Center now includes automation and programmability to help you scale your data center infrastructure.

 

One of the industry’s most respected certifications, CCIE distinguishes you as a technical leader.

 

  • SPOTO CCIE Data Center 3.0 Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for CCIE Data Center, but you should have a good understanding of the exam topics before taking the exam.

 

CCIE candidates are recommended to have five to seven years of experience with designing, deploying, operating and optimizing data center technologies and solutions prior to taking the exam.

To earn CCIE Data Center, you pass two exams: a qualifying exam and hands-on lab exam:

 

       Step 1: Take the qualifying exam

Implementing and Operating Cisco Data Center Core Technologies (DCCOR 300-601)

The qualifying exam, Implementing and Operating Cisco Data Center Core Technologies, focuses on your knowledge of data center infrastructure.

The qualifying exam earns a specialist certification, so you can get recognized for your accomplishments along the way.

Recommended training: Implementing and Operating Cisco Data Center Core Technologies (DCCOR 300-601)

 

     Step 2: Take the lab exam

CCIE Data Center v3.0

This 8-hour hands-on lab exam covers the end-to-end lifecycle of complex data center networks, from designing and deploying to operating and optimizing.

 

  • Migrating to the new program 

On February 24, 2020, the new CCIE Data Center v3.0 certification will replace the current CCIE Data Center v2.1.

 

If you have started working toward the current CCIE Data Center certification, keep going. In the new program, you’ll receive credit for work you’ve completed in the current certification.

 

If you pass the current CCIE Data Center written v2.1 exam before February 24, you will be eligible to take the new CCIE Data Center v3.0 lab exam after February 24.

 

After February 24, the CCIE Data Center written v2.1 will be replaced with DCCOR 300-601. After you pass DCCOR 300-601, you will earn the Cisco Certified Specialist - Data Center Core certification.

 

If you complete the entire CCIE Data Center certification before February 24, then as of February 24, you’ll maintain your CCIE Data Center certification as per the new recertification guidelines, and you will also receive the Cisco Certified Specialist - Data Center Core certification.


However, CCIE experts recommend that passing the CCIE DC lab exam as soon as possible under stable conditions of CCIE DC Lab 2.1
